Easter 2013

 

On Thursday 28th March, we held a fantastic Easter Egg Hunt during our Play & Learn Session. Despite the cold weather we had a full house and each child took home a bag full of goodies!

Past events: 2010/11


To help celebrate Christmas this year the Poplars organised a trip to see Santa in his Crystal Grotto at Painshill.  The day turned out to be very wintery with a good covering of snow on the ground. Although this proved a challenge to us in the car park, it provided an idyllic background to a very magical day.  The trip provided some of the younger children a chance to meet Santa for the first time and the older children the opportunity to make sure that he knew what they wanted in their stockings! It was lovely for us to see so many of our parents and children on the visit and we hope that you all enjoyed it as much as we did.



To celebrate the opening of the Poplars Sure Start Children's Centre we held an open day on Saturday the 11th September 2010.  This was a free* fun day for all the family with lots to entertain parents and children.     
  The event was opened at 11.00am by the famous Igglepiggle & Upsy Daisy, who were also available to meet children throughout the day. 

Childrens activities l includde a bouncy castle, 'Boogie Mites' sessions and facepainting.  The famous magician, Richard Special  provideed entertainment through the day with demonstrations of his magic powers .

The drew to the end with a 'grande finale' from Richard Special, and an enjoyable time was had by all.
